In this 25-minute video seminar, Professor Majid Ali, M.D. presents the cause, description of skin rash, and nerve pain (neuralgia) of shingles. It is caused by the same virus which causes chicken pox (Varicella zoster virus). To assure rapid healing and minimize the chance of developing nerve pain (herpetic neuralgia) lasting for months, even years, he strongly recommends vigorous treatment in early stages, including acyclovir, He related his experience with intravenous drips of hydrogen peroxide and vitamin C supplemented with intramuscular vitamin B12. He underscores the importance of underlying gut fermentation in most cases of shingles which appears to be of uncertain origin. He discusses the relevance and need for bowel, liver, and blood detoxification. Specifically, he cites the issues of untreated mold allergy, adverse foods reactions, and sugar and antibiotic abuse.
